BALD GUYS GARAGE
SKS Closed Beta Privacy Notice
Limited release: This notice applies only to the initial closed beta of four named external testers plus the BGG owner. BGG will replace it with an attorney-reviewed notice before expanding access beyond that five-person group or beginning an open beta.
Information BGG collects
- Account identity and administration: name, email address, organization, role, invitation, entitlement, acceptance, and authentication records.
- Device and service records: approved-device identifier, browser and device information, IP address, sign-in, security, error, performance, feature-use, and support records.
- Beta applications, communications, test results, and feedback.
- Sanitized Base File Library submissions only when an operator deliberately creates, previews, and submits a package for BGG review.
Customer project records remain local by default
Customer names, contact details, VINs, complete motorcycle projects, original and revised calibrations, datalogs, dyno evidence, operator decisions, project history, and local tuning-program paths remain on operator- or shop-controlled storage by default. SKS does not upload those records merely because a user signs in or uses the service. Testers must not include customer identity, VIN, mileage, contact information, customer folder names, or local paths in a Base File submission.
How BGG uses information
BGG uses information to invite and authenticate named testers; bind access to an approved device; isolate organizations; enforce roles and entitlements; record legal acceptance; provide, support, secure, debug, and improve SKS; investigate errors or misuse; communicate about the closed beta; and review deliberately submitted sanitized Base File packages.
Service providers and disclosures
BGG uses service providers to operate the beta, including Supabase for authentication, database, and server functions; OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery, and security; and an email delivery provider for transactional sign-in and invitation messages. These providers process information for BGG under their applicable service terms. BGG may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transfer. BGG does not sell closed-beta personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and requests
BGG may retain account, access, device, security, support, and feedback records for the closed beta and up to 24 months afterward; legal acceptance and audit records for up to seven years; and accepted sanitized Base File submissions until no longer needed for SKS development or deleted by BGG. Backups may remain until they age out through ordinary cycles, and legal or security needs may require longer retention. Local customer-project retention remains controlled by the operator or shop. To request access, correction, or deletion of server-held information, contact brad@baldguysgarage.com. BGG may verify identity before completing a request and may retain information when legally permitted or required.
Security and international processing
BGG uses named-user accounts, email verification, device binding, role and entitlement checks, database access policies, audit records, encrypted transport, and explicit review before an anonymous Base File package is transmitted. No system can guarantee absolute security. The beta and its providers may process information in the United States and other locations where providers operate.
Adults only
SKS is intended for adults and professional or authorized motorcycle operators. Beta users must be at least 18 years old.
Changes and contact
BGG may update this notice as the beta changes. A material revision will be presented for new acceptance before continued access. Questions may be sent to brad@baldguysgarage.com.
Effective August 19, 2026, only for the initial five-person closed beta. BGG must replace this version with an attorney-reviewed notice before expanding access or beginning an open beta.
